Highway 101 Cellars is your route to great wines!

Our family has developed a long distance relationship with grape growers on the west coast.  We have taken the grapes from special places and made wine that was truly a reflection of the vineyard.  Highway 101 is the name for this brand because all of the vineyards are located close to this iconic highway that runs north to south through the whole state of California.

Chardonnay, Monterey County    Hwy 101 Chard -Tech Sheet-Monterey

The wine has a light straw color with pure notes of fresh baked apples, quince and Mission figs.  It is medium bodied and fermented dry with a crisp refreshing finish.  The subtle oak profile makes it a pleasure for pairing with mild fish to roasted garlic chicken.

Zinfandel, Amador County     Hwy 101-Zin-Tech Sheet Amador

Medium purple color with notes of sundried plums, Linzer Torte, pomegranate and a tad of mulling spices.  This wine loves full flavored meat/game/vegetables that has been cooked with a direct fire method or smoked (BBQ anyone?).  Best when decanted for 45-60 minutes before serving.

Pinot  Noir, Central Coast    Hwy 101 Pinot Noir – Tech sheet – Central Coast

Pale ruby color with floral notes of cherry blossoms lead into a dried cranberry, sage and strawberry fruit flavors.  The crisp finish refreshes the palate for the next bite of food.  This is a wine that works with a wide range of foods because of soft tannins and bright acidity.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles    Hwy 101-Cab – Tech Sheet -Paso Robles

Dark purple color with notes of forest fruit preserves, dark chocolate truffles and a wisp of humidor in the background.  This wine loves full flavored meat that have been cooked with a direct fire method (not too shabby with dark chocolate either).  Best when decanted for 45-60 minutes before serving.
